PlayStation Veteran Shuhei Yoshida Announces Retirement From Sony

After 31 years, PlayStation icon Shuhei Yoshida is retiring from Sony Entertainment Interactive. The account-executive-turned-SIE-president–who stepped down from his former position back in 2019 in order to helm the company’s Independent Developer Initiative–revealed the news via an interview shared on the official PlayStation Blog. Yoshida’s last day with the company will be January 15, 2025.

“I’ve been with PlayStation from the beginning,” Yoshida told Sony senior communications director Sid Shuman. “When I hit 30 years, I was thinking, ‘Hmm, it may be about time for me to move on.’ You know, the company’s been doing great. I love PS5, I love the games that are coming out on this platform. And we have new generations of management who I respect and admire. And I’m so excited for the future of PlayStation. So you know, PlayStation is in really good hands. I thought, ‘Okay, this is my time.'”

Yoshida joined Sony in 1993 as lead account executive and one of the key memb…

COD Adds A Literal Rat And Famous NBA Star As New Operator Options In Season 3 Reloaded

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 are getting big new updates this month in Season 3 Reloaded, and there are a series of new cosmetic items coming to the multiplayer shooter games. Perhaps the most notable of these are a new Kevin Durant Operator and a literal rat.

The Phoenix Suns star is coming to COD as the newest real-life athlete Operator following the debut of football/soccer stars Messi, Neymar, and Pogba in 2022 for the World Cup.

Like those soccer stars, Durant will be available only for a limited time, and for a premium price. The soccer players cost 2,400 COD Points ($20) each, and one can assume Durant will be priced similarly.

The KD bundle in COD comes with KD himself as an Operator, as well as two weapon blueprints: the “Reap This” AR and the “Easy Money” sniper. Also included in the bundle is the “Deadly from Downtown” finishing move, the “B-Ball” weapon charm, the “Ankle Breaker” loading screen, the “Hoops” sticker, and the “KD Baller” a…

For some people, such a setup is as heavenly as the scent of morning espresso. Still, the game throws a lot of information at you right away, and the controls don’t always make as much sense as they should. That means you may soon find yourself drowning in kitty litter and coffee grinds. But with our tips guide, you can turn your modest cafe into a juggernaut of both paninis and pets. Here are some essential tips for Cat Cafe Manager.

Invest in chair slots first

Once you open your cafe, you’ll gain access to the Shrine, the physical representation of your skill tree, where you can work on projects that unlock new menu items, cat toys, and more. But the most important unlockable in the Shrine is the number of chair slots you have. More chair slots means being able to seat more customers, which ca…

JK Rowling Feared Ex-Husband Would Steal And Burn Her Harry Potter Manuscript

Harry Potter author JK Rowling has been bathed in controversy in recent years, and though the precarious circumstances surrounding the creation of the first book are well-known, they’re perhaps even more dire than we thought. As spotted by People, in the first episode of a recent podcast, Rowling said that at one point her ex-husband Jorge Arantes stole her manuscript and hid it from her as a “hostage.”

Rowling accused Arantes of being “violent and controlling,” as well as searching her person every time she came home. She also claimed that she did not have a key to her own house, and that Arantes would burn, steal, or otherwise destroy the in-progress manuscript of the first Harry Potter book in order to control her.

Battlefield 2042 Kaleidoscope And Specialist Reworks Coming August 2- Full Patch Notes

After months of gathering fan feedback, the first of Battlefield 2042’s map reworks, as well as visual reworks for the game’s Specialists, will go live on August 2 as part of the game’s update 1.2.

The rework of Kaleidoscope headlines the update. In response to fan feedback, DICE has added new cover throughout the map while also raising the terrain in certain areas to break sightlines. The new and improved Kaleidoscope also sports new objective locations and points of interest, such as a forward operating base in the park and a command post added near the map’s central tower. DICE states in the official patch notes that in addition to new map areas and added cover, parts of the map have also been updated to have a more “war-torn look” that is “more faithful to 2042’s setting.”

Updating Battlefield 2042’s visuals to more properly align with fans’ expectations of what a world at war might look like also applies to the game’s Specialists, which are recei…
